The idea for this watch was born from a mirage, a pure fantasy, the nostalgic dream of a happy time. At the end of the 1960s, between the continuation of the Dolce Vita and the expression of new aspirations, a boundless appetite for freedom led towards a promising future. This mirage took the form of a romantic cruise aboard an elegant and racy transalpine supercar, a Lamborghini Miura to be precise. With the lyrical flights of the generous twelve-cylinder V engine as its soundtrack, the racing car winds with quiet power along the winding mountainside roads of the Riviera and then the Côte d'Azur to connect Portofino to Saint-Tropez. The thrill of speed is added to that of impromptu stops along the wild coves for a picnic or a swim... This sun-drenched Epinal image provided the atmosphere in which the new Hegid Mirage watch was to be inscribed. The bold lines of Italian racing cars with the thrill of 'Wedge Design' inspired the aerodynamic curves of the Mirage watch. Its design finds a retro-futuristic balance in the blend of rounded angles and the sharp lines of the chamfer that surrounds it.
